The R J Phipps Performance Centre was the School's fourteenth building. The building commenced on 14 December 2009 with the builders Stephen Edwards Construction, made possible by The Building Education Revolution funding grant from Federal Minister for Education Ms Julia Gillard. The official opening of the Performance Centre was on 23 June 2011. The announcement to rename the Performance Centre as the R J Phipps Performance Centre was made at the Robert Phipps Memorial Assembly held on 22 July 2016.
