The Yurt was completed in 1998 and officially opened by Mr Martin Daly (Class of 1994). The Yurt was erected by Parents and Friends Association in April 1998 as an outdoor classroom amongst the natural bush environment of The Hills Grammar School. The concept of the Yurt was for a learning building for the School's environment. Today it is used as a Visual Arts classroom.
