Hills Grammar offers lessons for students in the following areas:
- Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass
- Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe and Saxophone
- Brass: Trumpet, Trombone and Euphonium/Baritone
- Percussion: Drums and Mallet Percussion
- Piano
- Voice
- Musicianship
- Guitar
Lessons are generally 30 minutes in duration and are held during normal timetabled school days at which time the student will proceed to the allocated Music Room. Lessons times are scheduled on a rotational basis during school hours for all students in Years 1-10.
