The Australian Business Week Café simulation was an exciting event for Hills Grammar Year 10 students; a fantastic week of teamwork, motivation, learning and fun! The week involves a special program focusing on the world of work and leadership. Students developed skills to compete in a computer simulated market place, develop a television advertisement, construct a trade display, develop a webpage, organise an oral presentation and prepare a written annual report for their business. The week culminated with the students in their teams preparing, designing and exhibiting their businesses with trade displays, followed by a Presentation Evening in the Performance Centre. We were very appreciative that local businesses sponsored the program and in particular the prizes that have been awarded. Their interest in the School, the program and our education was very much appreciated. We thank McDonalds Dural, Bright Print, Alliance Catering, PAFA and Future Builders Group - and of course the organising staff Andrew Watts, Rebecca Sultana, Elyse Tyler and Ros Periera.
