GENERAL HAND | CASUAL 

Purpose  

Are you passionate about maintaining a clean and beautiful environment?

Hills Grammar School is seeking a dedicated General Hand to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and enhancement of our school grounds.

Main duties will include: 

  • Undertake minor landscaping tasks to enhance the aesthetics of the school grounds.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises on a regular basis.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in the setup of various School events.
  • Demonstrate physical fitness to handle manual labor tasks, such as furniture moving.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, recognising and mitigating potential hazards.

VISUAL ARTS | CASUAL 

Purpose  

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art education, a deep appreciation for visual arts across cultures and time periods, and the ability to inspire and guide students of all skill levels. As our Visual Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Year 3 to 8, for designing and implementing engaging curriculum, providing instruction in various art mediums and techniques, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement visual arts curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives.
  • Be an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, with a passion for visual art
  • Integrate art history, theory, and criticism into classroom instruction, providing students with context and perspective for their artistic endeavors.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, helping them to refine their artistic skills and develop their unique artistic voices.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and empowered to take creative risks.
  • Be a team player and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in art education.
