Kirsten Linklater

Kirsten began her healthcare journey with a Bachelor of Nursing from UTS in 1995, starting her career as a Registered Nurse with Corrections Health. She worked in the challenging environments of Parramatta and Long Bay gaols before answering a new calling- joining NSW Ambulance in 1996. Starting as a paramedic on Sydney's demanding streets, she rose through the ranks to become a Station Manager. Along the way, Kirsten pursued further education, earning degrees in Paramedical Science, Public Administration, and Governance, reflecting her unwavering commitment to excellence in emergency services.
Throughout her career, Kirsten spearheaded transformative initiatives, including implementing electronic rostering systems, leading critical planning for the 2007 APEC Summit, and directing the COVID-19 Staff Safety Program. Her leadership made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the broader community. In 2022, she was awarded the Ambulance Service Medal, recognising her outstanding contributions to healthcare and emergency response.
As Associate Director of Rostering and Payroll for NSW Ambulance, Kirsten leads a team of 70 professionals while maintaining her paramedic registration - a testament to her enduring connection to frontline care. Amid her remarkable achievements, she cherishes her role as a devoted mother to four children, who bring balance, joy, and inspiration to her life. Kirsten maintains close bonds with her best friends from Hills Grammar, who remain an important part of her life.
