Sunrise at our School

It was an early start for students in our Hills Grammar Football Club who got to the School at 5am on Monday morning to be part of the Sunrise weather cross at the School.

Sunrise contacted the School mid last week, with the request to come out to help Optus Sport promote their free app access. The app will ensure that students under 17 years old can watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which saw two past and present Matilda’s, Georgia Yoeman-Dale and Catherine Cannuli, enjoy kicking a ball around with our students.

Without any hesitation the Hills Grammar community united to ensure the morning displayed the incredible qualities we have to offer. Thank you to the students who created wonderful works of art for the first cross, as well as the students who arrived so early, parents for attending, and even getting involved. We also wanted to thank the staff who ensured everyone was well informed about the event, as well as the staff who went to great lengths to make sure everyone had breakfast and coffee.

We were told multiple times throughout the morning how impressed Sunrise hosts and producers were by everyone’s involvement and it has proven to be a great opportunity for the School.
