Professional Learning and Human Resources Administration Role | Full Time

In this full-time role (school Term- time), you will be able to work across the Human Resource (HR) and Professional Learning (PL) Departments, and other duties as determined by the Principal.  Alongside our PL Staff, you will represent the school within our Professional Learning programs and have the opportunity to assist new and existing staff. 

You will have a mature and collaborative style of communication that aligns with our school ethos and further enriches staff understanding of our core vision and values. You will also have a demonstrated capacity to design documents with excellent formatting, accuracy, and creative style.  An ability to be flexible, adaptable and solution focused and to improve administrative practices across HR and PL is an advantage

Job Description:

  • Working hours would normally be 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday but with the flexibility to work 8.30 to 4.30 pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays if required. 
  • Administrating HR and PL New Staff Induction program. 
  • Administering PL Staff Development Framework Programs, including The Learning Centre Programs
  • Managing PL department social media and external communication
  • Attending and facilitating Staff and Parent PL sessions 
  • Onboarding new staff into the system and monitoring probationary periods
  • Follow up new employees for onboarding compliance of paperwork and compliance courses
  • Monitor attendance and staff completion of compliance and PL courses, as directed by the Principal
  • Managing the administration component of role changes, transfers, and changes to conditions of employment and the performance review lifecycle
  • Maintain shared HR and PL forms and templates 
  • General HR and PL duties
  • Utilise Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, Sharepoint, and Onedrive
  • Administrative duties across the school as directed by the Principal

GENERAL HAND | CASUAL 

Purpose  

Are you passionate about maintaining a clean and beautiful environment?

Hills Grammar School is seeking a dedicated General Hand to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and enhancement of our school grounds.

Main duties will include: 

  • Undertake minor landscaping tasks to enhance the aesthetics of the school grounds.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises on a regular basis.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in the setup of various School events.
  • Demonstrate physical fitness to handle manual labor tasks, such as furniture moving.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, recognising and mitigating potential hazards.\

TECHNOLOGY & APPLIED STUDIES TECH ASSISTANT | PERMANENT PART TIME (4 DAYS PER WEEK) | Immediate start but with flexibility

We are currently seeking a part time dedicated Technology & applied Studies Tech Assistant to join our Design and Innovation Department. As our assistant, you'll bring practical skills to the table, supporting students in their creative endeavors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson materials and assist teachers in the delivery of practical lessons, within the focus areas of industrial technology.
  • Collaborate with students on their projects, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Assist teachers in the classroom as necessary to facilitate the learning process.
  • Complete compliance checks on machinery and materials to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Raise purchase orders based on instructions from the Head of Department (HOD).
  • Pick up materials from various stores as needed for departmental projects.
  • Service and repair workshop machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in industrial workshops to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of the dust extraction units to uphold WHS standards.

Skills and Experience Essential to the role:

  • Previous experience in a technical role, preferably in an educational or workshop/trade setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using workshop machinery and tools for servicing and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding WHS standards.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
