ECEC
Our Early Childhood Education Centre (ECEC) is a modern co-educational centre catering for children from three to five years old.
ECEC provides a pre-school program within long day care hours of 7.30am – 6pm.
Children attend for 5 days, 3 days (Monday – Wednesday) or 2 days (Thursday and Friday).
Our Environment
Our dedicated ECEC environment includes five indoor learning spaces, a sensory garden, natural play areas and large grassed spaces. In addition, the ECEC shares Hills Grammar’s beautiful bushland campus. Children make regular visits to different parts of the campus and utilise the School’s wonderful resources.
Learning at the ECEC
Our teaching is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy where children learn through creative play and enquiry. At the ECEC, we encourage the children to ask questions, predict answers, think critically and to work collaboratively with others. Graduation into Kindergarten is seamless with a sequential transition program.
In addition to the ECEC educators, the children benefit from specialised instruction from Hills Grammar specialist teachers in Physical Education and Drama.
Daily life in the ECEC is rich, positive and stimulating, led by highly qualified staff committed to providing individual and group learning experiences for the children and excellent communication to parents and carers.
