World's Greatest Shave

On Friday 16 March our Year 12 students carried on the tradition of active and enthusiastic involvement in The World’s Greatest Shave. Locks were shed in full view of a national audience as the Today Show joined them on campus for live crosses during the weather segments. Our Year 12 students adopted this cause many years ago and the Class of 2018 have enthusiastically embraced their opportunity to make a difference and help beat blood cancer. As a school community we know only too well the devastating consequences and effect of this heinous disease. As individuals we will all have our own experiences and stories – such is the indiscriminate nature of cancer.

The shaving of heads and the raising of money is a tangible expression of the values of service, empathy and compassion and given the large number of heads shaved, haircut and money raised we  feel very proud of our most senior students who have today embodied these vales in abundance. Congratulations and well done to all involved.

Year 12 has exceeded their target of $20 000.00 by approximately $15.000.00. Please get behind this cause by congratulating those who have participated in the wonderful activity, by reflecting upon our own contributions to charitable causes and considering what we can all do as individuals and, if able to make a financial contribution to the Class of 2018 ‘s efforts at this link.
