Athletics Carnival

A great day was had down at Homebush on Tuesday, a full report with photos will be presented in the next newsletter edition.

Regional Futsal Competition

At the end of last term a number of our school teams competed at the regional futsal championships at Dural. Please see reports and results below.

Under 10-12 Boys

The boys 10s and 12s teams competed in the Futsal Competition and they were brilliant!

The 10s team played 6 games and convincingly won 4 of them. They drew one and narrowly lost one. If their age group involved a finals competition, they would definitely have been involved.

The 12s Green team won 1 game and drew 2, narrowly missing the quarter finals.

The 12s Red team won 2 games and drew the third, qualifying them into the quarter finals. After winning that game, they narrowly lost in the semi finals, meaning that they either placed third or fourth in their age group.

All teams played well and deserve to be congratulated for their efforts.

The 12s girls team will progress to the State finals to be held in Term 3.

Opens boys  - did not qualify for next round | 1 win, 1 loss, 2 draws

Junior boys - did not qualify for next round | 1 win, 4 losses

Primary HZSA Sport

Congratulations to our Year 5 netball and league tag teams who competed last term in the HZSA weekly competitions. Our netball team finished a very credible third overall, with a number of students playing for the first time this was an excellent result and thanks to Ms McMurray and Ms Midson for coaching the team.

Our league tag team finished 6th overall and all had lots of fun playing a sport that was very unfamiliar for many. Well done to all students involved

Our Year 3 and Year 6 teams will this term compete in the HZSA competitions both groups will be playing football. These competitions will start in week 3. Good luck to our teams.
