On Thursday, 22 June, Miss Alyssa McMurray ran our first event as part of the new ‘Hills District Think Tank’ Network that we have recently convened and established. Each of the seven member schools sent four students to enjoy a day of delving into the science behind our elite sports athletes.
The workshop was hands-on and interactive, with students using the latest Sports Science Apps as part of their investigation. Using Hudl Technique, they compared their own sports performance in their chosen field to that of a professional athlete. They assessed their own cardio fitness and formulated an exercise plan best suited to their individual needs.
Thank you to our Senior School PASS students who assisted throughout the day; Nicholas Lautre, Riley Blakers, Damian Hempstead, Dylan Tran, Devang Khosla, Cai Lilley. They all engaged with our students and visitors with maturity and displayed their passion for sport and fitness.
