The Hills District ‘Think Tank’ network is a collaboration of seven local independent schools, working together to broaden opportunities for high ability students to engage in enriched learning across a wide-range of subject areas. Earlier this term, Hills Grammar convened the inaugural meeting with a commitment to provide students with opportunities to meet and work with like-minded peers from across the Hills District in their areas of interest and passion.  From this meeting, we are thrilled to be working in partnership with six other member schools; Australian International Academy, Hills Adventist College, Pacific Hills Christian School, Rouse Hill Anglican College,  Tangara, William Clarke College.

The first ‘Think Tank’ workshop will be for Stage 3 students, Sports Science- Behind the Scenes of our Elite Athletes. We will be hosting this event on Thursday 22 June, which will involve 28 talented sports students from across our seven member schools. Mrs Alyssa McMurray will be running the workshop, and is a talented sportsperson herself.

Already, planning is underway for further workshops at Hills Grammar. During Term 3, a workshop for students in Stage 2 will be offered Debating Skills and the Secrets Behind Adjudication and during Term 4, a workshop for students in Stage 1, Creative Writing and Cookie Characters is scheduled.

We are very excited about the opportunities that this new network brings for students in the Hills District and from within our own school.
