A reminder that the annual Scholastics Book Fair is coming very soon and all the kids are getting very excited! This year our theme is "Bookaneer, where books are the treasure". Our wonderfully pirate themed book fair will again be held in the Pavilion from Monday 5 June to Friday 9 June with the Friday also being Grandparents’ and Friends’ day. All junior school students should have received a colouring competition. Please complete these and hand back to your class teacher by Monday 29 May. The colouring competition will be judged and two students from each class will be awarded a $10 voucher to be spent at the fair. We will also have a guessing competition this year. As each class comes to the fair to complete their wish list, each student will be able to guess how any gold coins we have in a jar. The closest guess also wins a voucher to spend at the fair. Our teachers will also have wish lists again - books that can be donated to classrooms for all the children of the class to enjoy. Throughout the fair volunteers can help by assisting students with the selection of books, restocking shelves, serving customers and selling novelties and posters. Traditionally the busiest day of the Book Fair is Grandparents and Friends’ Day, which this year will be held on Friday 9 June. On this day many helpers are needed to make this event enjoyable for our very generous grandparents and friends of Hills Grammar. If you can help with the event please contact Liz Mitchell liz.a.mitchell@bigpond.com or Kathryn McEvoy  tigger@100acrewoods.com.au. We can't wait to see you at our pirate Book Fair!
