I wrote in March about interviewing some of our students as part of my preparation for a talk with staff about our Whole School Pedagogy. The interviews were about 10 minutes in length, and from there I have cut together one video to demonstrate student thinking about the four key principles of learning approach (Guided Inquiry, Student-Centred Teaching, Assessment for Learning, Differentiation). Thanks to Declan Carrick and Bella Kinns (Year 2); Alexandra Nielsen (Year 5); Abhinav Ananth (Year 6); Farharn Shafi (Year 10); Chelsea McVay (Year 11) and Xavier Carmo (Year 12) for sharing their assistance with the video which you can view below.
You might also like to view the ‘HSC Hardtalk’ videos I recorded with alumni from the Class of 2016. Here Rose Fuggle, Sophia Bryant, and Harry Rowston talk about what it takes to get an ATAR above 90 (and the support they received along the way from parents, teachers, and each other). Talking with Hills Grammar students is an inspiring experience, and I hope you enjoy listening to their thoughts on Learning at Hills Grammar.
